Evidence for Methanol-to-Formaldehyde Conversion in Nonhuman Primate Brain

The discovery of methanol-to-formaldehyde conversion in the nonhuman primate brain challenges the traditional understanding of brain metabolism. This groundbreaking finding suggests that the brain possesses unique metabolic pathways that can transform methanol into formaldehyde. This article provides an overview of the study's findings and discusses the potential implications of this conversion process.
